Common questions

Which grades are supported?

V Scale, Font, and Japanese Dankyu for bouldering; YDS, French, UIAA, and Ewbank for roped climbing; and British Trad for traditional routes. Gyms can also use reusable custom bouldering scales.

How do I back up or move my data?

Open Settings, choose Export Data, and save the JSON file somewhere you control. On another device, choose Import Data. Newer records are merged without deleting existing records.

Why does the app ask for location access?

Location is optional. It helps save gym or crag coordinates, order nearby places, and obtain a city or address. You can deny permission and enter a place manually.

How do I disable app analytics?

Open Settings and turn off Experience Improvement. The optional Firebase Analytics collection is disabled after the setting is changed.

Does the app sync automatically?

No. Your climbing log is stored locally. Use JSON export and import when you want to make a backup or move data.

Where can I see recent changes?

The public changelog lists the user-facing updates included in each recent release.
